Pale Blue Dot – May 1976

£125.00

The Pale Blue Dot paintings are individually created to order. Painted on either board or canvas, there is only one painting per date.

The first date in the series is 31 3 1973, birth date of the artist, and continues one painting per day thereafter.

Each board/canvas measures 11.69 x 8.27 inches or 29.7 x 21.00 cms.

A beautifully mixed, luscious black paint renders space as a blank void. The glittered pale blue dot is depicted randomly with its relevant date stamped to the side or beneath in a unique font.

It is discreetly initialled ‘MG’ in the bottom right hand corner.

A signature, date, certificate of authenticity and an artist’s hand written copy of Carl Sagan’s monologue is also included.
